Lesson attendance can be registered by teachers, administrators (user role Skoladministratör) and administrative staff (user role Kanslist). Reporting a lesson means confirming the presence of all students who have not been noted as absent.

School staff with user roles Skoladministratör or Kanslist can register lesson attendance for all the teachers. They can pick any teacher to reach the lessons that he or she is connected to. The default setting for teachers is that they can only handle their own lessons. The administrator can register teachers as substitute teachers for other teachers or for student groups/classes. If so, the teacher can also register attendance on their lessons.

Selecting a lesson

It is always the first unregistered lesson of the day that is shown in the default mode. Via the list on the left side other lessons on the same day or earlier days and weeks can be selected for the number of days that the school has chosen to keep open for reporting.

When registration has been confirmed a tick will appear next to the lesson. If attendance has been registered on all lessons of a week a tick will appear next to the week number. More information about the lesson's content can be obtained via the Show more link (Visa mer ) on the title line of a selected lesson.

Taking attendance

Check the list of the students supposed to participate in the lesson. If any of the students has been registered absent in advance this will show on the line of the student. Add any additional absence, see below, and thereafter press Rapportera to confirm attendance. You can find the Report button both above and below the student list.

A single absent student

Select the absent student by clicking directly on the line of the student or in the checkbox to the left of the student’s name. Select an absence reason if you wish. If no reason is selected the absence will count as invalid. The full length of the lesson will be shown, but the absence length can be changed to 5, 10 or your own choice of number of minutes.

Several absent students

In order to register absence with the same length and reason for several students press Markera flera (Select multiple).Select the students concerned, select a length and a reason, then click Lägg till frånvaro (Add absence). The Markera alla option figures above the first student in the list if you wish to register the same absence on all students..

Editing registered absence

Absence registered on a lesson can be edited o removed by reopening the lesson, selecting the student concerned and changing reason or length for the absence. When finished, press on the button Rapportera. A confirmed lesson can also be changed for unconfirmed via the three dots on the the far right of the lesson title bar, Gör lektion orapporterad.

Create (Skapa), Edit (Ändra) or Delete (Ta bort) a lesson

The school can activate a setting that gives teachers the right to create, edit or delete single lessons. A new lesson can be created via the three dot symbol figuring above the lesson form. Click on the three dots in the lesson form in order to edit or delete the lesson.

Check registrations

When absence has been registered for a student it is possible to see who did it and when it was done. You will find the information by clicking on the small arrow  that will appear on the far right of the student’s line if an absence has been registered or edited. 

Edit student content of a group

If the school settings allow, it is possible for the teacher to edit which students should be part of a group in a lesson. The function will be found via the three dot symbol figuring on the lesson. If no other date is selected, the change will take effect from the date of the selected lesson.
